What is the principle of an esophageal pH test ?

You must monitor every time you eat, experience any symptom or every time you eat or drink anything and also if when you lie down and when you get up. Your nurse or assistant at the hospital can record the same for you. You should be careful as the monitor should not come in contact with any water during the time when the test is carried out.

When are the results of the esophageal pH test given ?
