Such diagnostic testing is done using various laboratory tests  of blood, urine, or other body fluids, imaging tests like CT scan, MRI, Nuclear scan, Bone scan, PET scan, Ultrasound and X-rays, and tumor biopsy and endoscopic examinations. 

Some of the common types of treatment for cancer are Surgery, Chemotherapy, Radiation Therapy, Targeted Therapy, Immunotherapy, Stem Cell or Bone Marrow Transplant and Hormone Therapy. If you have cancer, your doctor will recommend one or more ways to treat the disease. 

Onco-surgeons or surgical oncologists use surgery to treat cancer, including removing the tumor and nearby tissue during an operation. They also perform certain types of biopsies to help diagnose cancer. Medical oncologists treat cancer using medication, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy. Whereas radiation oncologists treat cancer using radiation therapy. 

Cancer treatment should start very soon after diagnosis, but for most cancers, it won’t hurt to wait a few weeks to begin treatment. This gives you some time to discover the right treatment options.  If such treatment options are not available in your home country or it is too expensive or you have a long waiting time, then you may consider traveling abroad for your cancer treatment.
