Govindalaya is a Public Charitable Trust established in 2012 that works towards transforming villages into centers of opportunity, innovation, and sustainable development through community-driven initiatives and partnerships.

 

Govindalaya’s mission is to empower rural communities by creating opportunities for knowledge, skill development, economic growth, and sustainable livelihoods at the village level.

Yes. Govindalaya conducts diploma and bachelor-level courses in agriculture, farmer training programs, and skill development initiatives to enhance rural employability and knowledge.

 

Govindalaya has:

  • Engaged over 200 villages through agricultural outreach

  • Generated 25,000+ man-days of rural engagement annually

  • Built women-led para-horticulture cadres to support farmers and improve productivity.

Govindalaya operates from its 31-acre Krushidham Campus in Nabarangpur District, Odisha, which serves as a hub for rural development, agricultural training, and community engagement.

 

Govindalaya was founded by Shanmuga Patro, a development practitioner dedicated to strengthening public service delivery and fostering rural transformation through collaborative partnerships.

 

Govindalaya supports farmers through training programs, agricultural demonstrations, high-tech nurseries, crop diversification initiatives, and outreach programs across more than 200 villages.

 

Govindalaya collaborates with government agencies, academic institutions, corporate organizations, and local communities through a Public–Private–Academia–Community Partnership (PPACP) model.

 

Individuals, institutions, and corporates can collaborate through CSR partnerships, training programs, research initiatives, and community development projects aimed at rural transformation.
